What you can expect
Each calculator shows the whole calculation, not just one number: which tax, which contribution, which rate. That lets you compare the result with your German payslip line by line. An example: on €3,500.00 gross a month, tax class I, without church tax and without children, you keep €2,333.25 net.
Where a case cannot be calculated reliably, for example private health insurance or a company car with a logbook, the calculator says so clearly instead of showing an inaccurate figure.
Who it is for
For anyone who works in Germany or is about to: people comparing a job offer, newcomers trying to understand their first Gehaltsabrechnung, international students with a student job, and freelancers setting up a business. The German original of each page is one click away via the language switch at the top.
